The former minister of Health Dr. Haliru Alhassan, 66 has died around 12 noon on Sunday, May 10.

The Former health Minister was Minister during the ex President Goodluck Jonathan's tenure. He was currently holding the position of the Governing Board of Health Services Management Board in Sokoto state.

The then minister was said to have been diabetic before his death, he is survived by wife and 4 children.
