Gov. Nyesom Wike has ordered the demolition of two hotels in the state, for violating the lockdown order placed in the state. In his previous speech the Governor vowed to demolish any hotel or building open for business during the lockdown. Two hotels have since violated this order, The Prodest hotel and Edemeth Hotel, Onne.



The Governor supervised in person, the bulldozers that brought these hotel down, the latter hotel is said to have belonged to his party(PDP) member, but the Governor promised that the same fate will befall anyother person regardless.

In his statement "whether you are PDP or not, what we are saying is that nobody is above the law. If we can do this to a PDP member, then you will know that we are not discriminating."
