Bauchi State deputy Governor has in a statement he told journalists, that the recorded deaths in Azare area of Bauchi state is not as a cause of Coronavirus but as a result of a seasonal heat wave.

Remember that in previous post a former house of reps member wrote to the president concerning the alarming increase of deaths in Azare town, Bauchi state, he wrote that the causes of these deaths were as a result of coronavirus, begging the government to send NCDC health workers for more testing in Bauchi State.

Senator Baba Tela told the media not believe the reports rounding that 300 people died in a week.

In his statement he said, "On the issue of deaths that have been happening in Azare, we got different reports. Some people said 5 deaths have been recorded, others said 300 people died in the last two to three day.

"I personally went and spoke to people who work at the mortuary and bury people. I discovered that yes, there have been a number of deaths. This death is seasonal. It happens like that sometimes these when it is very hot or cold. The same thing happened in Kano and Jigawa. We are all around the same axis.

"But I can tell you and I am very sure, the number of deaths is nowhere near what people are saying."
