At the Met Gala 2022, the Metropolitan Museum of Art paid a historic tribute to Rihanna.
Rihanna, who is expecting her first child with rapper boyfriend A$AP Rocky, was unable to attend the Met Gala this year, but she still managed to steal the show.
In Rihanna's tribute, the Metropolitan Museum of Art commissioned a marble statue.
The statue was referenced to her vogue issue cover, where she was dressed in a Red-Lacey see through overalls.
The singer expressed her gratitude for the gesture on Instagram.
She captioned a video of the statue, which is displayed prominently at the Metropolitan Museum of Art: "Shut down the Met in marble what’s more gilded than that? Lol! Thank you for this historic tribute! y’all bad for this one."
