Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United striker, has been removed from EA Sports' FIFA 22 video game due to complaints of abuse.

The England international was alleged to have committed injury to a woman. The Metropolitan Police Service is actively investigating.

On Sunday, January 30, photographs from a young woman surfaced, which she claimed were the result of Greenwood's actions.

"Manchester United does not condone violence of any sort," the club said in a statement, adding that it would not make any more comment until the facts were determined.

Greenwood will not train while the investigation is continuing, and he will also not be eligible for selection by interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

The Greater Manchester Police Department immediately issued its own statement, stating that a man in his twenties had been arrested on suspicion of rape and assault.

The inquiry is still ongoing as police try to figure out what happened.

Greenwood has now been removed from FIFA 22 as the investigation continues.

He's been cut from United's squad and isn't eligible to play for the virtual England team.
