A Nigerian uprising skit maker who goes by the name "de General" was convicted for drug trafficking by the Federal High Court in Lagos.

The De General was arraigned in court by the NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency) alongside a cinematographer, Caleb William. They were found with 15g of cannabis and 14g of tramadol in Lekki, Lagos State.

The duo pleaded guilty to the charge of three counts of trafficking Tramadol and Cannabis Sativa unlawfully, but they excused themselves by saying that the substances were to be used as props in their upcoming skit shoot.

LIB reported that a justice named Justice Daniel Osiagor noted that the substances were minimal, so they were convicted rather than sentenced and were cautioned to not repeat it again in disagreement with the prosecutor, who urged the court to sentence the two young men.

The two were said to have committed the crime on January 12, and the substances were found in the De General's apartment.
