Faisal Edhi of the Edhi welfare trust confirmed that 25 to 30 residential houses were destroyed and that the residents whose houses were damaged by the plane have been taken to the hospital. 



According to BBC, the plane attempted one landing but as it went around again, lost its engines and issued a mayday call to traffic control.

The pilot reportedly said "we are proceeding direct, sir – we have lost engine."

"I confirm your attempt on belly", the air traffic controller said, offering at runway.

"Sir Mayday, Mayday, Maday, Maday Pakistan 8303", the pilot said before transmission ended. 





2 people aboard survived according to the country's health department but the remaining other passengers on the crew reportedly lost their lives.

Health Ministry spokesspoke Merran Yousouf told Aljeezara by telephone 80 people have died, 48 bodies kept at Jinnal Post graduate Medical centre, Karachi's largest Government hospital.
