It was noticed that there was hike in the coronavirus cases recorded in Oyo state over time as of 16th May.

The Governor of Oto state, Governor Seyi Makende disclosed that 30 staff members of a Company located Ibadan South West Local Government tested positive, as so, the company has been shit down and will be decontaminated.

In his statement "The COVID-19 confirmation test for thirty-one suspected cases came back positive of staff of the same organisation based in Ibadan South West Local Government Area. The organisation has been shut down and will be decontaminated. The remaining one case is from Egbede Local Government Area."
