Leo Mezie, an actor, has died. After a protracted struggle with kidney disease, he died on Saturday, May 14.
Last week, the actor received a kidney donation after suffering kidney disease. However, he began to experience problems. Unfortunately, he lost the fight on Saturday.
He was in and out of the hospital for a while, struggling to get better, until complications led to his death over the weekend.
Before he received a kidney donor, the public was asked to donate towards his treatment and well-being.
Leo Mezie's battle with a renal condition began in 2016. Mezie is said to have returned to the country from the United Kingdom, where he sought medical treatment, looking in good health. The actor did not have a kidney transplant, as was widely reported at the time. Instead, to everyone's surprise, his kidneys began to function again. He threw a welcoming celebration and praised God for his miraculous recovery.
