It's another Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCAs) night, and all roads lead to Victoria Island's famous Eko Hotel and Suites, which will host the continental awards ceremony tonight.
The event, which celebrates the finest of the best in the African cinema sector, is likely to be nothing short of glamour, surprises, as it is the 8th edition. From 4pm, the show was broadcast live on all Africa Magic channels on DStv and GOtv (WAT).
The awards event concludes the celebration, which began on Sunday, May 8 with the inaugural gala night. Other events leading up to the show, such as the fashion parade, young filmmakers day, content creators brunch, and cultural and food festival day, made the AMVCA a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It has also set a new standard for award show organization in the country.
However, organizers announced top media celebrities and fashion icons Toke Makinwa, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Uti Nwachukwu, and Sika Osei as red carpet hosts for the night on Thursday, ahead of tonight's performance. In addition, IK Osakioduwa will host the show for the ninth time, alongside Bonang Matheba of South Africa.
