Netflix has put Will Smith's next film Fast & Furious on hold.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix made the decision in response to the backlash following Will's unexpected Oscar show of disrespect.

Before Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars, the movie had already lost its planned director, further disrupting the production.

Netflix went on the lookout for a new director. Netflix, however, chose to put the film on hold following the event at the Oscars.

Deadpool 2 director David Leitch was supposed to direct Fast and Loose, but he dropped out barely a week before the Academy Awards.

Leitch had been considering both Netflix and Universal for a new project, but the traditional studio appealed to him more.

It's unclear whether the project will be canceled or if Netflix will just find a new actor and director for it.
