Will Smith has responded to the Academy's decision to prohibit him from attending events for the next ten years.

Remember, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences banned Will from all of the organization's events for ten years after hitting Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

Will Smith, on the other hand, will keep the Academy Award he won for "King Richard" as best actor this year.

"I accept and respect the Academy's decision," the actor said in a brief statement to Page Six on Friday in response to this.

Smith announced his resignation from the Academy last week, which meant he was no longer eligible to vote but could still be nominated and attend the ceremony.
