Jada Smith reveals that her family is healing after Will Smith slap

After Will Smith smacked Chris Rock at the Oscars, Jada Pinkett Smith claimed that the Smith family is focusing on healing.

"Considering all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focusing on deep healing," the 50-year-old actor wrote in a written statement at the start of Red Table Talk's new season.

Some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared at the table when the time calls. Until then, the table will continue offering itself to powerful, inspiring, and healing testimonies like that of our incredibly impressive first guest.”

For the sixth season of their Facebook Watch conversation show, Pinkett Smith is back with her mother, Adrienne Banfield Norris, and daughter Willow Smith.

Red Table Talk is back!

Red Table Talk returns less than a month after Pinkett Smith's husband, Will Smith, struck presenter Rock in the face before accepting the Best Actor award.

Rock made a joke about Pinkett Smith's baldness as a result of her fight with alopecia.

Smith apologized for the incident and resigned from the academy on April 1. The Academy announced on April 8 that Smith would be barred from attending Oscar ceremonies for the next ten years.
