Shatta Wale praises Nigerians, calls Ghana Music a shame

Ghanian artist Shatta Wale makes a U-turn from his previous stance on Nigerian artistes.

The dancehall artist took to his Twitter today to acknowledge the hardwork of Nigerian artistes, comparing them to Ghanaian artistes and calling their work ethics lazy.

He expressed his disappointment towards Ghanaians not streaming his new music. He said Nigerians were the ones streaming his music, even when he thought that "Nigerians would come hard at me." Referring to his previous outburst where he called out Nigerian artistes, he said that Nigerians are streaming because "they understand what talent means."

He called Ghana music a shame and said that he was speaking the truth, which he knew hurt.

Many people are surprised by this because Shatta Wale chastised Ghanaian singers that collaborated with Nigerian artists in December 2021. He said that Nigerian artists were not promoting Ghanaian artists in Nigeria and that Nigerians did not appreciate performers of Ghanaian descent.

Shatta claimed that he did not require Nigerian singers to perform because he had a sold-out stadium.

The dancehall singer has feuds with Nigerian stars Davido, Wizkid, Stoneboy, and Burna Boy, and has made no secret of his dislike for them.
