Family members of Osinachi Nwachukwu, the late gospel music artist, said they only recently learned that their husband was previously married before meeting and marrying the singer.
The relationship, which began before Nwachukwu sought the late gospel singer's hand in marriage, is claimed to have ended when the woman bore him a kid.
These realities were revealed when one of the deceased gospel star's children discovered an old photo book stashed in his father's room.
Their mother had concerns that their father was having a hidden affair, but she couldn't find any real evidence, according to the child, whose identity has been suppressed for unknown reasons.
The child explained how he came across the photo album, "One day, my father was away and forgot to lock up his room. So, I entered, and a voice within told me to explore the room. Then, I saw the album, and out of curiosity, I opened it and saw Daddy’s old photographs. From the photos, I could see that my daddy lived a wayward life.
So, I closed the album and kept it where Daddy hid it. I couldn’t tell Mummy or anyone because I was very afraid that Daddy would kill me if he found out that I knew about the photos."
Then Mummy once tried to search for things like this (album) in Daddy’s room, but could not find anything."
The concealed secret was revealed after the toddler revealed it, according to the report.
According to the story, the already saddened relatives of the late gospel singer were astonished to learn that Mr. Peter Nwachukwu was previously married to another woman in a church long before coming for Osinachi's hand in marriage about 10 years ago.
Osinachi's relatives said they were unaware of his prior marriage.
"We never knew Nwachukwu was previously married to another woman." If we knew about it prior to now, we may not have allowed Osinachi to marry him. Osinachi must have been through a lot of pain, which she, unfortunately, kept away from us. "
Last Friday, April 8, the late singer died of injuries she allegedly acquired after her spouse allegedly beat her up. Mr. Nwachukwu allegedly mistreated the musician verbally and physically throughout the years, according to relatives and acquaintances.
Mr. Nwachukwu is currently in police custody, and a post-mortem investigation of Late Osinachi's body will be conducted on Wednesday, April 13, at the National Hospital in Abuja, to determine the cause of her death.
