ASAP Rocky has reportedly been arrested by LAPD in connection to a shooting that occurred in November 2021

On Wednesday morning, April 28, A$AP Rocky was held at Los Angeles International Airport in connection with a shooting that occurred in 2021. 

Following a trip to Barbados with pregnant lover Rihanna, the rapper, whose true name is Rakim Mayers, was apprehended at a California airport, according to NBC News. 

According to TMZ, investigators believe A$AP knew the accused victim and that the shooting occurred during an argument between the two. According to the LAPD, they worked to verify the facts provided by the victim concerning the alleged assault, which led them identify Rocky as the suspect. 

The rapper, 33, was walking with two people when he approached the man with a revolver on his hip, according to the survivor. 

According to police reports obtained by NBC News, the victim claimed Rocky fired three to four shots at him, one of which grazed his left hand. 

Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations unit assisted the LAPD in making the arrest.
