On Monday, March 28, terrorists exploded bombs on the rail track of the Abuja-Kaduna train.

This comes just days after terrorists assaulted the Kaduna International Airport, preventing a plane from taking departure.

The attack happened between Katari and Rijana, according to reports. The train, which left Idu Train Station in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at 6 p.m., collided with the explosive device about 30 minutes before arriving at Rigasa train station in Kaduna.

The gunmen surrounded the train and began shooting intermittently, according to one of the passengers who reached out to a family member.

At least 970 passengers are onboard, according to government sources acquainted with the railway service.
