Harriet Robson, the girlfriend of Manchester United player Mason Greenwood, has accused him of domestic assault.

Harriet's Instagram account posted a story an hour ago displaying the bruises on her body with the caption: "To everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood genuinely does to me."

A physical attack is plainly indicated by the series of distressing visuals. She then goes on to upload an audio clip of Greenwood being abusive and threatening to her.

United supporters were startled to learn the news this morning, and they are worried about what the future holds for the 20-year-old.

Greenwood has been described as one of United's most promising young players, with a bright future ahead of him.

Since then, social media has been awash with calls for Manchester United to fire the player and have him arrested.

After it was pointed out that the majority of his Manchester United teammates had unfollowed him on Instagram, the Manchester United player deactivated the comment feature on all of his Instagram accounts.
