Dr. Anu of Med Contour appears in court over allegations that a failed cosmetic surgery carried out by her led to the death of a Mrs. Nneka Miriam Barbra Onwuzuligbo, this was revealed by @'Fisayo Soyombo on twitter, She is also charged with failiure to comply with a summons by the FCCPC Nigeria.


Back in April, Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) shut down her clinic, Med Contour. The FCCPC also began investigations on the clinic after receiving petitions against the facility’s owner, Dr Anu.

Last Month, June 13, A nigerian Lady who identified herself as 'Vick' cried out in a video showing details of her Liposuction gone wrong.

The lady in the video claimed to have gone to "Med Contour" for a fat transfer to her breast by 'Dr. Anu' for the sum of N1,650,000, but ever since has experienced so many complications, causing an uproar in Twitter.

Also back in May 2020, A twitter Influencer 'Omohtee' called out the surgeon for messing up her body and left her battling for her life after the surgery, with which the Dr. replied saying, “So apparently my offense is that her waist is too tiny. At the expense of another persons name and profession some people just want their posts to trend…this is really sad. I leave this lady to God..let Gods will be done.”

The case is "Federal Republic of Nigeria v. Dr. Adepoju Anuoluwapo & MedContour" and FCCPC Nigeria is the prosecutor.

According to charges against the doctor, Dr Anu "without sufficient cause" failed "to appear before the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission in compliance with the Commission's Summons date 15th day of April 2020."

In an interview with The Boss Newspaper, she said "The FCCPC, without reaching out to me to get information on my competence to run the medical facility, unlawfully entered the facility, vandalised and closed it up. This is totally against the rule of law."
