Majek Fashek legendary singer died on the 1st of June as confirmed by his Manager Omenka Uzoma on the Singer's Instagram page on June 2.

Vanguard however revealed that the Veteran singer battled with cancer for almost a year.

Majek's Manager revealed that Majek was moved to New York from London based on doctors advice to be closer to his family, he was moved there to be closer with his wife and three sons. 

"We moved him from London to New York last September on the advice of the doctors that he should stay close to the family. Majek reunited with his family last year after 10 years of separation. He died in their company," Uzoma said.
