Following Governor Godwin Obaseki's disqualification from running in the Edo state Governorship primary election by the APC screening committee, pictures of him visiting the Governor of Rivers state, Governor Nyesom Wike who belongs to the opposing party (PDP) have rounded the Net.

Governor Nyesom Wike hosted the incumbent Governor of Edo state in the Government house in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. Although it is not clear what the visit was for, we can recall that former Vice-president and presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar of the PDP has invited Gov. Obaseki to join PDP for his reelection bid.

APC screening committee disqualified Governor Obaseki on grounds that,Obaseki presented a Higher School Certificate which the panel said was defective as no such certificate is in existence, adding that the National Youth Service Corps certificate he presented did not have his name written properly” and cleared Osagie Ize-Iyamu whi is rumoured to be favoured by the APC chairman, Adam Oshiomole.
