The incumbent Governor of Edo state has reacted to APC's decision on disqualifying him from running in the Edo state Governorship primary elections. 

It was announced by the Chairman of the screening committee Jonathan Ayuba from the Abuja Headquarters stating that "Obaseki presented the Higher School Certificate which the panel said was defective as no such certificate in existence, adding that the National Youth Service Corps certificate he presented did not have his name written properly”.

Governor Godwin Obaseki has reacted to the news wishing the APC Chairman Adam Oshiomole well and mocking him saying that Adam Oshiomole has "has declared himself the supreme court."


“We have therefore decided that it would be an effort in futility to appeal whatever the unjust outcome of the evaluation and screening process of the APC will be, especially when Comrade Oshiomhole has declared that he is the Supreme Court and ultimate determiner of the fate and future of our great party.

We wish Oshiomhole well in his mal-administration of the party and trust that the Almighty will help our country to find the path to true liberty, freedom, and justice,” Governor Obaseki said
