Popular Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has died at 34 in his Bandra home in Mumbai. 

Sushant's representatives and the Mumbai police confirmed the news on Sunday, June 14.

Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide, Mumbai Police is investigating,” DCP Pranay Ashok, spokesperson Mumbai Police said.

 Sushant’s team shared a message for his fans: “It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. We request his fans to keep him in their thoughts and celebrate his life, and his work like they have done so far. We request media to help us maintain privacy at this moment of grief.”

The actor was reportedly found hanging in his sixth floor apartment in Bandra.

Although reports speculate that the actor committed suicide, the police have not yet confirmed the cause of his death. His death comes days after his former Manager Disha Saha reportedly committed suicide. 

Sushant is Popularly known for his role in the soap opera Pautra Rishta, Dil Bechara, the remake of Hollywood's the fault in or start 'Kai Po Che.'

Bollywood stars have taken to their social media to Express shock over his death.


Actor Akshay Kumar tweeted: "Honestly this news has left me shocked and speechless…I remember watching #SushantSinghRajput in Chhichhore and telling my friend Sajid, its producer how much I’d enjoyed the film and wish I’d been a part of it. Such a talented actor…may God give strength to his family."
