In the autopsy reports released by the Hennepin County Medial Examiner's office, its states that George floyd tested positive for coronavirus in April but seemed to asymptomatic, but had persistent PCR positivity from previous infection.
TMZ reported that the Coroner said;
"Positivity for 2019-nCoV can persist for weeks after the onset and resolution of clinical disease, the autopsy result most likely reflects asymptomatic but persistent PCR positivity from previous infection."

However, the Floyd family attorney, Ben Crump conducted another autopsy countered that of the Hennepin's County Medical which revealed that there was no sign of asphyxiation. The autopsy commissioned by the Floyd family revealed that he died of asphyxiation due to the neck and back compression.
Minnesota Attorney General, Keith Ellison on Wednesday June 3, upgraded the charges against Derek Chauvin to 2nd degree murder and also charged the three other officers on the scene with aiding and abetting.
