The other three officers involved in the murder of George Floyd's murder, officers Tou Thao, Thomas Lane, and J. Alexander Kueng have been granted bail of $750,000 each. The ex-officers were charged with aiding and abetting in the killing of George Floyd.

This was declared by a judge after their first appearance in Hennepin County District. All three officers have been fired along with Derek Chauvin, who has since been charged with second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

If convicted, Chauvin faces a maximum of 40 years in prison on the murder count and 10 years for manslaughter. Under Minnesota law, aiding and abetting second-degree murder is equivalent to a second-degree murder charge, meaning Thao, Lane, and Kueng face the same potential penalties as Chauvin if convicted.
