Odion Jude Ighalo who plays for Shanghai Shenhua, late January secured a loan move to Manchester United till the end of the season due to the coronavirus pandemic that broke out in China.

Manchester United paid a £3m loan fee for Ighalo at the end of January with a £130,000 weekly wages being paid to Ighalo even as they haven't played for two and a half month.

The loan was supposed to end by May 13, but now Manchester United wants to keep Ighalo until the end of August when the season will end, but Shanghai Shenhua have refused.

Unless Manchester United are willing to make full contract negotiations with Ighalo, he will have no option than to return to China for the start of the Chinese Football League season.

They reportedly have asked Ighalo to return for full training with the club by the end of this month, when the deal with Manchester United is expected to expire.

Ighalo has previously discussed on the matter, preferring to stay at Manchester United even though he earns lower than with Shanghai Shenhua.
