Falz sat down with punch to discuss the ban of his song "this is Nigeria".
Since the release of this song, falz had received many media attention, both good and bad.
Most notable was that of the Islamic group Muslim right concern (MURIC) who asked falz to remove the video because it featured ladies with hijab dancing.
Currently, the NBC, National broadcasting committee has accused the line from his song "this is Nigeria, look how we living now, everybody be criminal" as a vulgar line, resulting to banning his song.
According to his statement from the interview with punch, falz revealed "there is absolutely nothing vulgar about the song and I think it is ridiculous that the NBC singled out the least vulgar line in the song and ascribed it as the reason they banned my song. It is a very simple and clean song".
He further went on to reveal that "however, there was absolutely no basis for the NBC to ban thy song. I am going to have my lawyers find out what is really going on. When I find out the reason behind the ban, I could ask tgemm to lift it if need be and if they do not adhere, I might seek legal redress".
